Your daily wellbeing check-in

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

The short version: AskWell stores your wellbeing data on your device only. We do not collect it, transmit it, or share it with anyone. Your check-ins are private to you.

This privacy policy explains how AskWell ("the app", "we", "us") handles your personal information. AskWell is operated by Lendbulb Limited, a company registered in England and Wales.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the app works. If you have any questions, please contact us at the address below.

1. What data does AskWell collect?

AskWell collects and stores the following information on your device only:

None of this data is transmitted to our servers, stored in the cloud, or shared with any third party. It exists only on your device and is deleted if you uninstall the app.

2. Do you collect personal information?

No. AskWell does not require you to create an account, provide your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information. Access to the app is protected by a shared access code, not a personal account.

We do not know who you are and cannot identify you from your use of the app.

3. Analytics and tracking

AskWell does not use any analytics tools, tracking software, or behavioural monitoring. We do not track how you use the app, which screens you visit, or how long you spend in the app.

4. Notifications

AskWell may ask for permission to send you push notifications. These are used solely to send you a daily reminder to complete your wellbeing check-in. We do not use notifications for marketing purposes.

You can withdraw notification permission at any time in your device's Settings app under Notifications → AskWell.

5. External links and partner content

The AskWell Wellbeing Guide (blog) contains links to external websites, including NHS resources, mental health charities, financial guidance services, and partner organisations such as AskFin.

When you tap a link and leave the AskWell app, you are subject to the privacy policy of the website you visit. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any external site you visit.

Some content in the app is sponsored or provided in partnership with third parties. Sponsored content is clearly labelled. We do not share any of your data — including your wellbeing check-ins — with sponsors or partners.

6. Children's privacy

AskWell is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used the app, please contact us and we will provide guidance on removing any locally stored data.

7. Data security

Your data is stored using your device's secure local storage (AsyncStorage). The security of your data depends on the security of your device. We recommend using a device passcode or biometric lock.

Because we do not store your data on our servers, we cannot access, recover, or delete your check-in history on your behalf. If you wish to delete your data, uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored information.

8. Your rights under UK GDPR

Because AskWell does not collect, store, or process any personal data on our systems, most data rights under UK GDPR (such as subject access requests or the right to erasure) do not apply in the traditional sense — we simply do not hold your data.

If you have any concerns about how the app handles your information, please contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
